The Droylsden Academy Choir today performed for the first time infront of an audience of school children at St Luke's Church of England Primary School in Longsight, Manchester. A group of fourteen Academy students represented the Academy Choir and performed a vareity of songs infront of the whole school at their assembly. Children from St Luke's happily accompanied them in song as the choir performed R.Kelly's 'World's Greatest' as well as other songs.
Mr Walker, Choir Leader gave his thoughts on the choir's first performance, "I thought the performance went well and the children really enjoyed it. It is good to know that we have put a smile on everyone's faces, especially Head Teacher Mrs Ishaq!"
The pupils and staff at St Luke's really seemed to enjoy the performance of the Academy Choir and sent them back to the Academy with cheers of 'hip hip hooray' ringing in their ears!
