Academy Choir: Choir to perform at St Luke's

The Droylsden Academy Choir will be performing for the first time on Tuesday 23rd February 2010 at St Luke's Primary School in Longsight, Manchester. The choir will be singing to the 5 - 11 year old pupils at their school assembly and will perform three songs; 'The World's Greatest' by American singer-songwriter R.Kelly, 'Joyful, Joyful' by Lauryn Hill and 'Kum Bay Ya' an African-American spiritual song from the 1930's.

Choir Leader Mr Walker said, "We look forward to performing our first gig and I hope the children at St Luke's will enjoy our performance and like our choir because we aim to be the best!" The Droylsden Academy Choir aspire to perform at many other schools and events in the near future.
