Students continue to enjoy their enrichment activities on a Friday afternoon. The Let’s Fly a Kite and Recycled Crafts group have recently completed their third project, up-cycling an old clock with magazines. The students spent two weeks rolling over 80 sheets of magazine pages into tubes before assembling their designs. Below Ali, Brannan, Steven and James proudly show their finished clocks.
The group have made a Chinese tissue paper fish kite, a simple 2 fold kite and a traditional diamond brown paper kite, all of which they have been able to fly during the lesson.
The next project will involve the use of empty 1 litre juice and milk cartons and old maps to make purses, wallets and feeders for wild birds.
