Monday 26th April 2010 saw pupils from Year's 9 and 10 launch the Academy's very first radio show on their new online radio station, Random Radio, as part of the Key2Radio project set up in association with Key 103 and Aim Higher. The Key2Radio project not only hopes to improve the confidence and self esteem of the pupils involved, but also ensure a sustainable project that will continue long after Key103 / Aim Higher's initial involvement.
In radio show one students created radio advertisements for the station, researched news, sport and entertainment students, in addition to orchestrating exclusive interviews with Manchester Councillor Pat Karney and Waterloo Road actor Phillip Martin Brown aka Grantly Budgen.
Follow the Random Radio blog online at the Academy's very own area on Key2Radio website and keep up to date with the latest radio podcasts and photos. Random Radio is the Academy's very own online station and is made by the students, for the students. So if you want to get involved then you can do! If you have news, ideas or just want to get involved then contact the team at their very own e-mail address randomradio@droylsdenacademy.com
