BBC News School Report is an annual project involving schools that gives 11-14 year-old students in the UK the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience.
|
| The main aim of BBC News School Report is to interest young people in news of all sorts, and the world around them, by giving them the chance to make their own news. Thus students decide which stories to report with support provided by teachers and the BBC. School Report supports all sorts of learning for instance by helping students develop their ability to work in teams, manage their time, conduct independent enquiries, communicate effectively and think critically. |

Droylsden Academy are excited to be getting Year 9 students involved in BBC School Report 2011 where students will make the news for real on School Report Day - 24th March 2011. But you don't have to wait that long to see our budding student journalists report the news as they will be working on news stories from the off.
Check back on the day and keep up to date with all their news reports which will be published on this page.
