Around 220 Year 10 pupils enjoyed taking part in a Careers Fair at the Academy on Tuesday 18th October. Employers such as the Armed Services, D6, Barclays and Carillion were present giving the opportunity for students to discuss careers in their industries. Alongside these employers staff were on hand to talk to students about the new Sixth Form at Droylsden Academy and there were several stands from Hyde Clarendon Sixth Form College and Tameside College covering areas from Travel and Tourism to Engineering. Students said they enjoyed the event because it allowed them to ask questions about potential career opportunities and find out more about the various colleges and the wide range of courses available to them from A Levels to Vocational Qualifications and Apprenticeships.
