On Thursday 13^th May 2010, the Head Boy and Head Girl, accompanied by the Academy Prefects were rewarded with a trip to a game of Laser Quest at the Trafford Centre. The evening was a great success with all the prefects enjoying themselves.

The full group was split up into games, with each game having a Green and Red Team. In both games Mr Swindlehurst aka 'TOMMYGUN' for the evening, was the winner, although this was very controversial! "We both hope every prefect enjoyed the trip, because they all deserve it with the amount of effort put in this year," commented Head Boy Saif Rehan when asked on his thoughts the evening's events.

The trip to Laser Quest at the Trafford Centre is another example of Droylsden Academy's policy on rewarding students that work hard. Reward trips are regularly organised by the each individual curriculum area to reward positive and improving academic achievement, behaviour and attendance at the Academy.
