Are you feeling inspired? We are! This term will see the start of something new at Droylsden Academy. The Inter-house Charity Trophy! This is a chance to get behind your house and help out a worthy charity.

The first charity trophy event is aiming to collect and send as many books as possible to a disadvantaged school in the Philippines. We are looking for textbooks, information books, story books and any other kind of books, in reasonable condition, you have lying around unused. These should be brought in to school and taken to either the portakabin near the Humanities/Sixth Form Block at Manor Road or the back of the hall at Cryer Street before or after school. Then the hard work will start!

We would like you then to come up with either an individual and or form effort to raise money so that we can ship the books to their final destination. The individual that raises the most money will receive 3000 vivos as a prize! The form that raises the most money will get a prize to be shared amongst them. Be warned the form prize is awarded on an average, we will divide the amount made in the form by the number of students in the form, and therefore everyone has to work really hard to make sure you win!

Finally the house that has made the most money overall will get the coveted and inspiring Charity Trophy!
