Out of the ten short listed writers from last night's Young Crime Writers Competition 2010 (Manchester and Tameside area) awards ceremony at Stalybridge Library, Jack Clare from the Academy was announced 'Runner Up' and received a £5 book token in addition to a 'Short listed Writers' certificate!
Congratulations to both Jack Clare and Chris Astle for achieving the short list and getting this far in the competition and will be awarded VIVO's for there participation and success in the competition.
Cryer Street Librarian, Ms Tennent would like to say a great big thank you to all students who actually entered the competition, because you do have top be 'in it to win it!'
