A group of Year 9 and Year 10 students attended their induction on the prestigious ‘Scholars Programme’ at Manchester University on Wednesday. The group were given advice and guidance on University progression routes, had a tour of the campus and met their personal PhD Lecturer who will mentor them over the duration of the course. Over the next half term the group will be studying ‘Cost Benefit Analysis: How do we value the environment?’ and will write a 2000 word report which will then be graded by the University. The group will also have the opportunity to graduate from the programme with students from across the country at another of the UK’s most prestigious universities. Well done to all those involved on their induction this week; you were engaged and enthusiastic and asked some very intelligent questions. We are very proud of you!
