Do you know someone in Droylsden who is proud of their area or of something they do?

Droylsden is set to launch a new scheme based on the successful Tameside Pride Awards. The aim is to showcase worthy individuals or groups who go above and beyond the norm.

If you would like to nominate someone from Droylsden Academy, please see Mrs Fish the Community Manager, you will need to have the person’s details and the reason why you want to nominate them for an award. The closing date is 29^th February 2012.

All applications will be judged by an independent panel of six people who live in Droylsden or know the Droylsden community well.

• School Achievement Award as nominated by the town’s schools.
• Youth of Year – for someone under 18 whose energy, talent or contribution inspires others.
• Volunteer of the Year – for deserving individuals or local community groups who have given their time to make a difference in the community.
• Green Award – for a person or group who actively promote green issues in Droylsden.
• Community Safety Award – for those making a special community safety contribution.
• Carer of the Year.
• Droylsden Business of the Year.
• Sports Achievement of the Year.
• Droylsden Club of the Year
• Person of the Year
