Boys Football

The Year 7 Boys beat All Saints 6-4 on Tuesday. Dylan Fraine, Tyrese Gilbert and Finlay Phillips were on the score sheet in a highly entertaining and action packed match. The boys also beat Mossley Hollins 4-0 on Friday. Goals from Finlay Phillips and Ethan Jones gave Year 7 a half time lead before Dylan Fraine scored two In the second Half to complete the scoring. Well Done Boys!

Our Year 8 boy’s football team beat All Saints at the Academy 4-2. Two excellent individual goals from Dylan Eaton and a goal each for Gary Ambatobe and Ismail Yisa gave the team a comprehensive home victory, with Goalkeeper Lewis Kelly having a fantastic debut performance. Well done boys!

The Year 9 team beat Mossley Hollins 7-1 to continue their unbeaten streak this season. Joe Pavitt and James Worsley each scored 2, with the other goals coming from Charlie King, Prince Moore and a superb volley by Billy Deniz. The boys now sit top of the league, well done boys!

Our Year 11 Boys beat All Saints 4-1 at the Academy on Thursday. Lewis Parfitt gave the boys the lead followed by goals from Reece Horan, Irvine Tapeira and Nathan Stewart in a game that should have seen more goals for the year 11 team.

The year 10 Boy’s Football team lost 4-1 at Home to All Saints on Tuesday. The boys played some great football which was rewarded with a fine goal from Ryan Drummond. 

Triathlon Expo Trip

On Friday Mr Lees took a group of Year 7 pupils on a rewards trip to the Triathlon Expo at Event City. The trip was a reward to pupils who have shown outstanding attendance for extra-curricular activities in PE including participation in competitions for the A Team.

The expo gave pupils the opportunity to take part in a “Driathlon” and test themselves against each other and pupils from other schools, try out new state of the art fitness equipment and taste a variety of sports nutrition products.

The pupils also got the opportunity to meet former Great British World Champion Swimmer Mark Foster who was a guest at the expo, as well as Adam Walker who is the first British person to swim the toughest 7 Oceans in the world.

Fitness Suite

The fitness suite is open for students every Monday and Friday after school. We have a fantastic selection of gym equipment available from Treadmills and Rowing machines to Squat Racks and Boxing pads. Pupils of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to come along – Please wear full PE kit and trainers!
