A class of Year 10 students who completed their Business & Enterprise qualification with City in the Community attend a presentation evening at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday 29th November 2012.
The theme of the evening was 'Enterprise', and allowed each school that took part in the course, the opportunity to demonstrate their enterprising skills. The students were challenged to provide a product, service or a competition in which they will make money from.
On the evening we were allocated a market stall to promote the school. The students had the opportunity to transform and personalise their stall, to showcase the school and money-making scheme to visitors as they arrive. The school that made the most profit from their business idea received a prize; all profits raised went to the CITC Foundation to be re-invested to support vulnerable young people in Manchester.
Out of the 4 schools that had market stalls, Droylsden Academy raised the most money on the evening. Well done to Jamie Pollard, Daniel Bayes, Ewan Flaherty and Cerys Rhodes.
