Buy an extra gift or donate cash and help make a sad Christmas a happy Christmas for local kids.
Millions of children in poverty will wake up to a Christmas without presents. We’re asking you to buy just one extra present this year; a gift that can be given to a disadvantaged local child to make their Christmas morning that little bit brighter. We're looking for presents suitable for children and young people aged 0 to 18 years, and you can donate your new and unwrapped gift at Droylsden Academy.
There are currently 1 in 3 children living in severe poverty in Manchester, and those kids will wake up to a Christmas without a present.
That’s why Droylsden Academy are supporting the Key 103 breakfast show and Cash for Kids 'Mission Christmas' with The Corn Exchange. So far the Manchester public have astounded Key 103 with their generosity and donations and we the Academy want to add to this. Cash for Kids are aiming to hit our target of 150,000 toys for Greater Manchester - That would be one toy for every child in severe poverty.
There are over 360 drop off points across Manchester and Droylsden Academy is one of them!
1 in 3 children live in severe poverty in Manchester RIGHT NOW - we are the worst city outside of London for child poverty – and those kids won’t be getting a Christmas Present!
More information can be found online on the Key 103 Mission Christmas website.
