Tameside College has invested £2 million in Droylsden Academy to give young people in Droylsden the very best educational experience.
As the Sponsor of the Academy, the College’s vision is to create a culture of aspiration, achievement, collaboration, opportunity and choice. It is the College’s plan to create a strong partnership between the two institutions, so that both can grow and achieve success through the sharing of good practice, staffing and resources.
The College believes that the key to success is the development of a shared vision, transformational leadership, innovative and creative delivery, and first class buildings and facilities – operating as part of the Tameside Campus.
Tameside College has been instrumental in the development of vocational curriculum in local schools and is at the forefront of a new wave of enterprise education. Academy students will benefit from the College’s expertise in these areas and the links that it has with employers.
It is the College’s commitment to place the Academy at the leading edge of education and to make it one of the highest performing schools in the Country.
