Academy girl's participate in active coaching day

Seven year 10's took part in tag rugby, cricket and street cheer. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the day, gained lots of useful skills and drills and all gained a qualification which they are going to use within PE curriculum time, leading to current year 7 and 8 pupils.


Year 10 students participate in Active Coaching Day

Seven Year 8’s also took part in a girl’s active day, aimed at increasing girl’s participation in PE through introducing them to new activities. The girls took part in Zumba; body combat; Commando Joe activities; Rowing; street dance; Ultimate Frisbee; Stomp; dance mats.

All the girls thoroughly enjoyed the day and are putting together some ideas to produce a fun girl’s active day in school during school sports week. Well done Sigourney Watson, Seana Parkinson-Heaney, Jessica Worrall, Jessica Brett, Chloe Burrows, Alice Latchford, Sally Forrester.
