Miss Sanderson took her Droylsden Academy Under 13's Girls football team to play in the final of a 6-a side competition ran by Stockport County at their Edgerley Park stadium on Wednesday evening infront of a crowd of 4,700 people.

The girls took part in a ten minute half time game against Wilmslow school and in what was a tightly contested game the girls narrowly lost 2-0. The game took place as part of the half time entertainment in the Npower League Two match between Stockport and Port Vale. The girls were supported by their families who made the trip to watch the girls take part on the night,

Even though the girls lost they came out of the game with experience and were beaten by a side that had already experienced playing in front of a big crowd as they were last year's finalists.

Well done goes to Jamie-Lee Beddow, Aimee Latham, Laine Callaghan, Lauren Kirkham, Natasha Reece, Madeline Longsden and Tilly Affleck.
