Yesterday a group of year 11 history students visited Waterside Arts Centre to take part in “The Doctor’s Show”. In the show was Josh Brooman, who has written many of the History revision and text books that history students use today. It consisted of a 40 minute “exam-busting” workshop that explained how our exam papers would be marked question by question. It allowed us to see what we should include in our answers and broke down the ways in which to achieve the higher level answers. The workshop was followed by a 90 minute production that covered medicine from the Stone Age to the present day and served as a revision session for what we have already learnt in our history lessons. Overall the visit was extremely useful for all who attended and very worthwhile.
