The staff and students at Droylsden Academy are celebrating Christmas in style this year and there’s plenty of Christmas spirit to share too.
Following the many improvements at the Academy this term, and on the back of the phenomenally successful production of Les Miserables, staff at the Academy have invited Year 5 pupils from local primary schools to come and enjoy a full Christmas lunch in the state of the art building.
Pupils from Fairfield Road Primary School, who visited the Academy on Monday, told staff that the lunch was delicious and they were especially interested in the Academy’s ‘Droylsden Dollars’, a reward scheme for students for the excellent work produced.
There were lots of empty plates and happy children by the end of the meal!
They enjoyed it so much that many of them will be returning at 3pm this Friday to visit the Academy’s Christmas Fayre which is being held in aid of Christmas Mission. Everyone is welcome to come along this Friday at 3pm to take part in our festive celebrations.
