SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

Every member of staff at Droylsden Academy has a responsibility for safeguarding.

Staff receive safeguarding training and are expected to recognise concerns, listen to students, report concerns promptly and follow the Academy’s safeguarding procedures.

Our safeguarding practice is guided by current statutory guidance, including:

Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026

Working Together to Safeguard Children 2026

alongside relevant legislation, local safeguarding arrangements and Academy policies.

Our approach is simple:

NOTICE → LISTEN → REPORT → SUPPORT → REVIEW

If something doesn’t feel right, we act.
