At Droylsden Academy, we recognise the important relationship between attendance, safeguarding, wellbeing and belonging.
A change or decline in a student’s attendance can sometimes be an indication that something else is happening in their life.
When attendance becomes a concern, we want to understand why.
We work with students and families to identify barriers, offer appropriate support and, where necessary, work alongside other services to make sure that children and families receive the help they need.
Being in school provides much more than access to lessons. It gives students routine, friendships, trusted adults, opportunities, support and a sense of belonging.
