Year 7 girls football write up
The year 7 girls competed in a football tournament at Droylsden Academy. The girls performed excellently and were very unlucky to lose in the final to All Saints. On the road to the final, the year 7’s competed in a league, where they played Copley, Great Academy Ashton and All Saints. They beat Copley 4-0 with goals coming from Mylee, Grace (2) and Lola. The girls then played All Saints, where they won 3-0 with goals from Mylee (2) and Grace. In their final league match they played Great Academy Ashton, as they won 2-0 with both goals coming from Mylee. They then played All Saints in the final, losing 1-0 to an unfortunate goal.
The year 7 students that competed in the tournament were: Sophia Butler, Amelia Benson, Caitlyn Shaw, Lola Jones, Grace Connors, Mylee Dunbar, Jasmine Lockie & Kitty Parker.

Year 7
The indoor athletics semi-final
Both girls and boys competed fantastically at the semi-final indoor athletics tournaments at St Thomas More. They both finished second in the competition, as they advanced to the finals. In the final the girls finished in 3rd place, while the boys finished 4th. These students participated in the competition: Al Hassan Barrie, Anaya Littlewood, Brook Bowden, Emma Petrova, George Gemmal, Grace Connor, Jasmine Lockie, Mason Postill-Bowker, Zaine Metz, Mateen Acheapong, Lola Jones, Mamadou Samb, Mylee Dunbar, Noah Blemming, Olamide Awoysana.
Year 8
There were 16 year 8 students that competed in the semi-final indoor athletics competition at St Thomas More. All students performed excellently, with the girls finishing 3rd and boys finishing 4th. The girls made it to the final competition at Hyde Community College, where they finished in 4th place. The Year 8 development squad played in a football tournament at St Damians.
They played 3 games in the league, as they beat St Damians 1-0 (Harlow Robinson-Green), drew 0-0 against Alder and beat Copley 2-0 (Woody Darbyshire & OG). They then played in the final against Laurus, as they were unfortunate to lose 1-0. They finished 2nd out of 8 in the tournament.
