Sports Fixtures and Results

Congratulations to the year 8 girls football team.

On Wednesday 27th March they competed in the Tameside Cup Semi Final against Laurus Rycroft.

We were 4-1 down with 8 mins left and managed to pull this back to 4-4.

Extra time saw a deadlock between the times leading us to penalties.

Hayley Tomkinson was extraordinary in net. Saving the first 3 of Laurus penalties allowing Lillie Pollitt to have chance to step up and score the winner, which she did with confidence!

This has led the year 8s to join the year 7s in reaching the final in the cups inaugural season.

(Goals in normal time – Molly Chadwick (a blinder from half way)  Mylee Dunbar x2 and Lillie Pollitt)

Huge congratulations to our Year 7 girls football team who have reached the Tameside Cup final after a thrilling win vs Alder.
Goals from Annie Banks and Jessica Pass x2 meant that at full time the score was 3-3.
Subsequently it went to a penalty shoot out.
After 7 penaltys it was 4-4 and Lilly Pollitt stepped up confidently striking and securing our place in the final!
