Parental Support

Parents, carers and families have a vital role to play in helping our students achieve their full potential – at school, college or university, in work and in life as a whole.

As parents, your aspirations, what you do with your children at home, and how you support your child’s learning and development before and during school has a real impact on how well your child will succeed and how developed their character becomes.

We expect you to read with your child, ensure homework is complete and instil the values of politeness, honesty and hardwork even when they’re not wearing our uniform.

When you choose Droylsden Academy as the school for your child, you agree to our high standards, strict rules and unashamedly high level of aspiration for your child’s development. We expect all parents to support us in their child’s journey to become well rounded young people with high expectations of themselves.

Parents – Have Your Say

Ofsted have an online questionnaire called ‘Parent View’, which gives you the chance to tell them and us what you think about our school.

Parent View asks for your opinion on twelve aspects of our Academy. By sharing your views, you will be helping us to continue to be reflective and look at how to continue to improve what we do. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about the school.

We have provided a direct link to Parent View questionnaire: parentview.ofsted.gov.uk

You can also contact our Deputy Headteacher Mrs Arnold directly with any views by email using the following address: haveyoursay@droylsdenacademy.com
