Online Free School Meals Applications

Do you qualify?

From September 2026 your child will qualify for Free School Meals if you receive any of the following support:

• If you receive Universal Credit. It does not matter if you earn additional income too.
• If you receive Asylum Seeker Support.
• If you receive the Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit.

If you need help completing the application, then please contact the Academy Reception who will be pleased to help. They can complete the check over the phone with you, but you will need your National Insurance Number or Asylum Seeker Number when you call.

Free School Meals can save you around £475 each year and eligible families also receive Supermarket Vouchers for each school holiday too.

Families receiving Free School Meals do have to re-register every year to check that they are still eligible, but the Academy will always send out a letter or email to remind you.

Please note that the Academy also receives additional funding if your child is eligible for Free School Meals. This money is used to support all students in our school so please apply, even if your child does not wish to take a free meal every day or would prefer to bring a packed lunch. If you are registered, then your child can take a free meal if they want one and you will automatically receive your Supermarket Vouchers each holiday.
