“Hayley McGeever

I received a golden ticket from my English teacher. He said that I had written an excellent paragraph and made an excellent effort to demonstrate the skills needed to achieve the higher marks. I felt great about receiving the golden ticket. It made me feel so happy and proud of myself. There are such a good range of prizes on offer. It suits everyone and anyone can achieve something. Friday Pride Day is a great celebration as it gives people the chance to embrace their achievements and celebrate. I look forward to it.”

I was awarded a diamond ticket after being nominated by my Spanish teacher. He praised me for me for my excellent effort in the Spanish speaking exam. When it was presented to me in the lesson it made me feel happy and was a nice surprise. I was very proud of myself. There are lots of different prizes available to suit a range of different people. I got pens for my exams. I love Friday Pride Day. The music puts everyone in a good mood, everyone is excited, especially to receive their prizes, as it motivates to everyone to work hard”

“Jacob Woolstencroft

I was awarded a golden ticket for my hard work in History. I was so happy and it made me feel so proud. There are so many good prizes, I managed to get a chocolate prize. Friday Pride Day is really good. It gives people the opportunity to get a reward for their hard work other than working towards exams. It’s an extra bit of recognition that students value. Everyone can see how well we have all done and I like that.”

“Dexter Adams

I was awarded a golden ticket by my music teacher. My band won the battle of the bands and my music teacher is very impressed with my performance as a guitarist. In lessons, she is impressed with how much excellence I show in Music lessons, especially in theory work, and making an excellent contribution in lessons by answering questions. I felt happy, proud, and I felt recognised for my work. There is a good range of prizes. There’s a lot to choose from, there are really good options. Friday Pride Day is such a good day for students to look forward to. An opportunity for students to be recognised for their work.”
