Both staff and students enjoyed another successful Friday Pride Day event on Friday 22nd May. Nearly 80 students were invited to attend by staff presenting golden and diamond tickets for their outstanding work and collecting a fantastic prize.
Students love Friday Pride Day and we love celebrating with our students.

“ I was awarded a golden ticket for my excellent effort in the English holiday project. I was so surprised but very happy to receive it. There are so many good prizes to pick from. Friday Pride Day is a good way to celebrate how well students have done in different subjects from their teachers, it’s really good to get that recognition.”

I received a golden ticket for excellent achievement in the Spanish KAP. I have a really detailed answer, using adverbs making it clearer and including a lot of information. I was a bit shocked when I got my ticket and surprised. But I was so happy and proud of myself to get one. Friday Pride Day is really good because there is a good range of prizes on offer. I especially liked stationary and items that can be used for school work. It gives students recognition, to celebrate success together and enjoy lunch time whilst we see all the ticket winners collecting their prizes and getting fun pictures.”

Madeleine P (Y7)
“I was awarded a diamond ticket for my excellent work in English. My teacher commented on how well I used the word “unbeknownst” in the correct way in my story. I felt so happy, and I felt good that it was recognised for it. Friday Pride Day is lots of fun and there are really good options of prizes, I was able to get a game. It is a good way to recognise people working hard.”

Holly T (Y10)
“I was awarded my golden ticket by my Health and Social Care teacher. He said that I put a lot of effort in my health and social care coursework and had a really high score. I achieved one of the highest scores – 88%. I felt proud that I had been recognised for my achievements. There is a good range of prizes on offer, I was able to get some pens which will be really useful for my school work. I really enjoy Friday Pride Day. It has a good atmosphere and it is such a positive experience especially with the music “
