In December 2020, after a very long year of no competitive sports opportunities in the Academy, Year 10 took part in an inter-house football tournament. Despite the cold weather, and it being a Friday evening, over 20 students took part with many more supporting from the side lines. Despite the best efforts from Saxon, Albion and Victoria it was Oakfield who once again dominated the competition putting on an excellent display of teamwork and skill. A special mention must go to Gad Amakye who came to the rescue of Samuel Amaniampong after he got injured at the end of the tournament. Not only did Gad check he was okay but he carried him over his shoulder across the entire pitch, as pictured below. Well done to all who took part, it was brilliant to experience inter-house competition at Droylsden Academy once again.
