Droylsden Academy is delighted to announce the outstanding success of its students in the recent GCSE examinations. Co-Headteachers Mrs Arnold and Mr Mayell express their immense pride in the remarkable achievements of the students, reflecting the dedication and hard work put in by both the students and the staff:

“The Class of 2023 were a fantastic cohort and we could not be prouder of them. There was a palpable sense of teamwork with students and staff working together and fully believing in what can be achieved through hard work. We will miss them and wish them every success as they move on with their studies.

Maths have had a record year and English has remained strong.  20% of students achieved a grade 7 or above in maths and 22% achieved a grade 7 or above in English.

78% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English, 76% in Science and 72% in maths.

There were also very strong results in History, Religious Studies, Science and Food and Nutrition which gives our students a strong start in the next part of their education.

Droylsden Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence in education. These results are a testament to the collaborative efforts of the students, teachers, and support staff who have tirelessly worked towards ensuring the best possible outcomes, particularly for all the additional teaching hours they have provided for students before and after school.”
